Disability Awareness is simply the way to be aware or to have at least a little knowledge about disabilities. Knowledge on how disabled people can cope-up with their situations. Pertains to the knowledge about disability; how it begins, how a person got it or what are the causes of it, or what are the effects, gained by a person by going through a disability awareness program.

Disability Awareness is simply the way to be aware or to have at least a little knowledge about disabilities. It pertains to the knowledge on how disabled people can cope-up with their situations. It also relates to the knowledge about disability; how it begins, how a person got it or what are the causes of it, or what are the effects, gained by a person by going through a disability awareness program. And it also teaches us how to deal with people who are physically challenged.
Through disability awareness, people are helping to fill a critical role in the world's education-helping children and adults better understand their fellow citizens with disabilities. These workshops take place in public and private schools at the elementary, secondary and college levels, and in community and civic centers all over the country. They feature interactive discussions and demonstrations with volunteer speakers who proudly take time away from home and professional duties to share their powerful and moving stories of personal success and fulfillment.
With disability awareness, disabled people won't feel left out since it teaches people to treat physically or mentally challenged people like they treat those people with normal body and brain functions. The focus of interactive workshops is to promote community awareness around the notion of disability, and to explore the impact of attitudes and dispel myths. Through all of these workshops, participants gain an understanding of the unique skills, abilities and contribution people with disabilities can make to our society.
This days a mass media campaign is always being held to build awareness about the capabilities of people with developmental disabilities. Its goal is to help people understand what it's like to suffer from this type of situation. Kids have become experts at coping with problems that most of us have never heard of. They'd like you to know how they do it.
